2026 review

Drew Gilbert was a semi-regular center fielder for SFG whose results trailed his contact quality: he hit .238/.330/.394 with 11 HR, 53 R, 43 RBI and 3 SB, an 18.1 K% and a 9.9 BB% over 393 PA. He was optioned Mar 24 and recalled Apr 15, then played 134 games with 94 starts through his last game Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1157, he finished 341st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 24th of 70 center fielders. His .320 wOBA ran 14 points below his .334 xwOBA over 393 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked a shifting role: by May 8 it flagged a strict platoon against left-handers and argued for patience, by Jul 23 it had him getting more playing time again after a rough stretch, with a schedule heavy on right-handed pitching favoring his profile, by Aug 4 a hot stretch came with a fragile platoon role after recent benching against southpaws, and by Sep 25 it had him hitting with power and getting consistent placement at the top of the order.
