Drew RomMIL · ATH · RP
2026 review
Drew Rom bounced around all year as a low-leverage reliever, posting a 5.60 ERA and 1.64 WHIP in 17.2 IP with a 20.5 K% and an 8.4 BB% over 83 BF across 18 games for MIL and ATH. His contract was selected by MIL Jun 6, he was optioned Jun 22, recalled Jul 5, optioned again Jul 10, designated for assignment Aug 9, and claimed off waivers by ATH, who optioned him Aug 28 and recalled him Sep 13. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 841st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 407th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card had him in early Jun pitching mop-up innings in a Milwaukee pen with no path to a save or a hold, then after the Aug 12 waiver claim by ATH described him as roster depth with modest relief traits, and by late Sep still had him working low-value innings without a clear save or hold role even though the stuff looked solid.
