Dylan CeaseTOR · SP
2026 review
Dylan Cease was a strikeout-heavy starter for TOR, posting a 2.40 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 169.0 IP over 29 GS, with a 34.9 K% and an 11.4 BB% over 685 BF. A left hamstring strain sent him to the 15-day IL May 25; he took a rehab assignment Jun 4 and was activated Jun 9, and a right shoulder inflammation put him back on the 15-day IL Sep 23, retroactive to Sep 20, for 22 regular-season days missed across 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 69, he finished 55th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 14 spots above his ADP rank, 11th of 811 pitchers and 7th of 236 starters. His 34.9 K% over 685 BF was the 12th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF, a strength. His ERA still ran below his contact quality, 2.40 against a 2.92 xERA over 685 BF, 0.52 below expected. His fastball sat at 97.7 mph Mar-Jun (533 pitches) and dropped to 95.9 mph Jul-Sep (539 pitches). He ran a 3.05 ERA in 62.0 IP before the hamstring stint and a 2.02 ERA in 107.0 IP after. The TDK LABS card called him talented but erratic in May, settling back in by late Jun, and by mid-Sep the rotation's top strikeout arm with a steady ERA.
