2026 review

Enrique Hernández barely got on the field this year, a part-time third baseman who hit .222/.271/.400 over 96 PA in 90 AB across 41 games for LAD, with 4 HR, 12 R and 12 RBI. He posted a 29.2 K% and a 6.2 BB% over 96 PA. He signed as a free agent Feb 12, then went on the 60-day IL Feb 21 for recovery from left elbow surgery, took a rehab assignment May 5 and was activated May 25, only to land on the 10-day IL May 27 with a left oblique strain, take another rehab assignment Jul 17 and get activated Jul 28 — missing 123 regular-season days in 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1129, he finished 1181st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 430th of 660 hitters, and 43rd of 67 third basemen. The TDK LABS card in late May noted the oblique strain hit right as he returned from the elbow surgery, leaving little to chase in a utility-only role; by mid-Aug it had him cooling sharply after a hot Jul; by late Sep it read him as a bench bat used mostly in platoon spots with inconsistent time on the field.
