2026 review
Erik Sabrowski was a high-strikeout lefty reliever who also worked with traffic on base: a 2.61 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 48.1 IP across 60 games for CLE, with 1 SV and 28 HLD. His 37.4 K% and 15.3 BB% over 203 BF were the 4th highest and 12th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF, while his 26.6 Hard% over 94 BBE was the 38th lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. He went on the 15-day IL May 25, retroactive to May 22, for left elbow inflammation, took a rehab assignment Jun 17 and was activated Jun 19, missing 28 regular-season days. He was sharper before that stint, a 1.71 ERA in 21.0 IP before it against a 3.29 ERA in 27.1 IP after he came back. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 869, a rare pick, he finished 278th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 52nd of 575 relief pitchers. The TDK LABS card had him piling up holds and drawing more opportunity by May 8, then by Sep 7 it had him as a setup arm getting occasional saves behind the primary in a committee pen, and by Sep 16 it settled on him as the backup closer in a firmly setup-oriented pen, and by Sep 25 a trusted leverage lefty there.
