2026 review

Evan Phillips missed most of the year and came back throwing strikes, a reliever who posted a 3.46 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 26.0 IP for LAD with a 31.1 K% and a 5.7 BB% over 106 BF, picking up 3 W, 1 SV and 8 HLD against 3 BS. He signed as a free agent Feb 11, went on the 60-day IL the next day with right forearm discomfort, took a rehab assignment Jun 4, and was activated Jul 6 after missing 103 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 736, he finished 386th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 99th of 575 relievers. His 31.1 K% over 106 BF was the 28th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF, and his 30.7 CSW% over 423 pitches was the 40th highest of that same pool, both strengths. His 5.7 BB% over 106 BF was the 45th lowest of the same 517-pitcher pool, and his 3.46 ERA ran 0.92 below his 4.38 xERA in that span. The TDK LABS card followed him from a high-leverage arm fresh off a full season of recovery in mid-Jul to a lesser role in the bullpen after a rough outing by mid-Aug, and by late Sep it had him with a first save in sight.
