Fernando Tatis Jr. was an elite, all-around threat who hit for power and ran wild on the bases: .289/.358/.470 with an 18.5 K% and a 9.1 BB% over 704 PA for SDP, with 25 HR, 38 SB and 13 CS, and his 53.9 HardHit% over 503 BBE was the 7th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 12, he finished 6th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 6 spots above, and 1st of 79 right fielders. He hit lefties much better than righties, .309/.404/.583 over 161 PA against left-handers versus .283/.345/.437 over 543 PA against right-handers, and his .358 wOBA ran 21 points below his .379 xwOBA over 704 PA. His best month was Sep at .337 over 92 AB against a worst of .253 over 95 AB in Apr. The TDK LABS card pushed hard on him all year: in early May it was urging owners to get him any way they could after a 3-for-3 game, by late Jun it flagged that his expected numbers were running well above his actual production, and by mid-to-late Sep it had him raking with elite power and speed on a multi-hit stretch with a strong stolen-base rate, with the expected metrics running even hotter.
