2026 review

Gary Sánchez was a part-time catcher whose plate discipline stood out more than his batting average: he hit .209/.349/.422 with a 21.5 K% and a 16.7 BB% over 275 PA for MIL, across 86 games and 64 starts, with 47 H, 10 2B, 12 HR, 37 R and 38 RBI in 225 AB. MIL signed him as a free agent Feb 14, and his season ran from a first game Mar 29 to a last game Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1221, he finished 613th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 24th of 103 catchers. By mid May the TDK LABS card had his power metrics as elite enough to justify a low batting average floor; by late Aug it had him as an elite offensive profile hidden in a part-time role, and by late Sep it had him as a backup catcher working through a dwindling stretch in Sep.
