2026 review

Giancarlo Stanton hit for some pop early but couldn't stay on the field: .256/.302/.422 with a 30.2 K% and a 6.2 BB% over 96 PA, adding 3 HR and 14 RBI for NYY before a right calf strain ended his season. He played only Mar and Apr, 20 PA over 5 games in Mar and 76 PA over 19 games in Apr, then landed on the 10-day IL Apr 28 retroactive to Apr 25, was transferred to the 60-day IL Aug 25, and finished the year out, missing 155 regular-season days in that one stint. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 255 in 667 of 674 drafts, he finished 1168th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 913 spots below his ADP rank, and 30th of 46 designated hitters. The TDK LABS card followed the calf the whole way: a low-grade strain with a mid-May return window in early May, concern that had already resurfaced once by Jul, rehab progressing with no assignment date set by Aug, and by late Sep a shift to the 60-day IL with a strain described on the other leg.
