Grant Wolfram was a specialist reliever with a solid strikeout rate and control to match: 60 games out of the BAL bullpen, a 4.30 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 52.1 IP, a 27.0 K% and a 7.1 BB% over 226 BF, with 6 W, 1 SV and 13 HLD. A low back strain put him on the 15-day IL May 12 retroactive to May 9, and he was activated May 24 after missing 15 regular-season days; his ERA ran 4.85 in 13.0 IP before the stint and 4.12 in 39.1 IP after. Taken in just 1 of 674 drafts at ADP rank 487, he finished 474th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 152nd of 575 relievers. His 4.30 ERA ran 0.80 above his 3.50 xERA over 226 BF. The TDK LABS card had him grouped as a save vulture during a reshuffle in early May, but once he returned from the IL late that month it had him folded into middle relief with no save path, and by late Sep it described him as a specialist lefty with a decent strikeout rate and favorable control.
