Gregory SotoPIT · RP
2026 review
Gregory Soto was PIT's closer for most of the year, racking up saves without missing bats but also handing a few back: in 69 games he ran a 3.63 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 67.0 IP, with a 27.7 K% and a 10.2 BB% over 285 BF, going 6-5 with 16 SV, 13 HLD and 6 BS. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1126, taken in 359 of 674 drafts, he finished 240th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 886 spots above his ADP rank, 75th of 811 pitchers and 40th of 575 relievers. His 3.63 ERA ran 0.60 above his 3.03 xERA over 285 BF. The TDK LABS card tracked a rising role: by May 8 it had him pushing to take over the ninth inning in Pittsburgh, by Aug 3 it had him established there as the lead closer, and by late Sep it had him settled into a committee role still stacking saves.
