Heliot Ramos barreled the ball well but the production did not fully follow: his 13.7 Barrel% over 285 BBE was the 23rd highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, while his .312 wOBA ran 17 points below his .329 xwOBA over 442 PA. He hit .245/.305/.411 over 442 PA between SFG and NYY, with 13 HR, 48 R and 46 RBI across 112 games and 104 starts, missing time after a right quad strain sent him to the 10-day IL May 16; he took a rehab assignment Jun 17 and was activated Jun 28, missing 43 regular-season days in 1 stint. His last game for SFG came Aug 2 and his first for NYY came Aug 4. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 209, he finished 312th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 103 spots below, and 24th of 93 left fielders. He hit much better against left-handers, .297/.383/.525 over 115 PA, than against right-handers, .228/.278/.373 over 327 PA, and the bat cooled after the IL stint, .267 over 165 AB before it against .230 over 239 AB after. His best month was Apr at .293 over 92 AB against .159 over 69 AB in Aug. In early Jul, just back from the quad strain, the TDK LABS card noted strong contact quality, and by late Sep it was pointing to regular at-bats after the move to NYY with hot recent production.
