2026 review
Henry Davis was a light-hitting backup catcher who still found a way onto the field most of the year: over 97 games and 85 starts he hit .172/.272/.312 with a 21.1 K% and a 9.4 BB% over 298 PA, chipping in 10 HR, 33 R and 38 RBI. He went to the paternity list Jun 10 and was activated Jun 13, and his playing time ran steady through the season, from 61 PA in Apr down to 34 PA in Sep. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1112, taken in most drafts, he finished 888th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 224 spots above his ADP rank, and 37th of 103 catchers. His .267 wOBA ran 23 points below his .290 xwOBA over 298 PA. The TDK LABS card followed a timeshare narrative all year: by May it had a confirmed timeshare capping him after a couple of bench days, by Aug it had a possible rebound case limited by that same timeshare, and by Sep it had him flashing pop as a backup catcher whose platoon role and lineup spot still capped the production.
