2026 review

Heriberto Hernández was a power-over-contact corner outfielder for MIA, hitting .230/.315/.444 with a 26.5 K% and a 10.3 BB% over 505 PA, with 25 HR, 13 SB and 67 RBI across 130 games. He was optioned Apr 27 and recalled May 7. Undrafted at NFBC ADP rank 1078 by most measures but still taken in 369 of 674 drafts, he finished 153rd of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 925 spots above his ADP rank, and 15th of 93 left fielders. His .329 wOBA ran 18 points below his .347 xwOBA over 505 PA. The TDK LABS card followed the swings: in early May it noted the option down with no clear path back, by early Aug it had him as a part-time outfielder whose hard contact stood out, and by late Sep it had shifted to seeing him as a developing corner outfielder finally putting his power and bat together.
