2026 review
Hunter Brown was a strikeout arm who lost time in the middle of the year: he posted a 3.19 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 107.1 IP across 20 starts, with a 27.5 K% and a 12.2 BB% over 451 BF, going 6-4. A right shoulder strain put him on the 15-day IL Apr 5, retroactive to Apr 2, then he was transferred to the 60-day IL May 9, took rehab assignments May 24 and May 29, and was activated Jun 16, missing 75 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 34, he finished 342nd of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 308 spots below, and 133rd of 811 pitchers, 55th of 236 starters. He carried a 0.84 ERA in 10.2 IP before the stint, also his best month in Mar, and a 3.44 ERA in 96.2 IP after activation, with his worst month Jul at a 4.94 ERA in 27.1 IP. The TDK LABS card described a clean comeback with strikeouts climbing and few signs of trouble by Jun 18, then by Jul 6 it still called him an ace-caliber arm off the shoulder issue but flagged a rough outing against Tampa, and by late Sep it noted a spike in walks alongside strikeout stuff that still stood out amid workload volatility.
