2026 review

Hunter Feduccia spent the year as a backup catcher for TBR and then LAD, working in only a part-time role: 93 games and 76 starts, hitting .221 and slugging .313 in 217 AB, with a .312 OBP, a 23.9 K% and an 11.2 BB% over 251 PA, adding 3 HR, 21 R and 19 RBI. TBR traded him to LAD on Aug 3, his last game for Tampa Bay coming Jul 31 and his first for the Dodgers Aug 4. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 996, he finished 1143rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 50th of 103 catchers. His .286 wOBA ran 26 points below his .312 xwOBA over 251 PA. In early May the TDK LABS card had him filling in behind the plate while Fortes rested; by early Aug it noted the designated-for-assignment move and then him back with the Dodgers organization after the trade from Tampa Bay, and by late Sep it still read him as a backup catcher working through sparse playing time and a cold stretch.
