2026 review

Hyeseong Kim started 36 of 43 games at short for LAD and hit .259/.323/.328 with a 23.7 K% and a 9.2 BB% over 131 PA, adding 1 HR, 16 R, 11 RBI and 5 SB. LAD optioned him Mar 22, recalled him Apr 5, and optioned him again May 29. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 870, he finished 1122nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 252 spots below, and 395th of 660 hitters, 47th of 61 shortstops. His .293 wOBA ran 11 points below his .304 xwOBA over 131 PA. The TDK LABS card had him locked in at the keystone through late May, with the reps there stabilizing the role, but by month's end it noted the reps had dried up and a roster crunch cost him at-bats before he was optioned out.
