2026 review

Isaac Paredes was a contact-oriented power bat for HOU who kept the strikeouts down: he hit .262/.360/.447 over 659 PA with 25 HR, 69 R and 94 RBI. His 13.4 K% over 659 PA was the 24th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. He was placed on the bereavement list Apr 3 and activated Apr 6, playing from Mar 26 through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 221, he finished 71st of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 150 spots above, and 56th of 660 hitters, 7th of 67 third basemen. His .355 wOBA ran 32 points above his .323 xwOBA over 659 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked a widening role and a hot finish: by May 8 it had him moving to everyday play after a teammate's season ended early, opening a playing-time path, by May 19 and 20 it noted a drought snapped with a solo home run swing, and by late Sep it described a scorching stretch with power clicking in the corner role.
