2026 review

J.T. Realmuto was PHI's everyday catcher who signed as a free agent on Jan 20 and then scuffled at the plate all year, hitting .205/.283/.331 with a 21.4 K% and a 7.9 BB% over 467 PA, adding 11 HR, 52 R and 51 RBI over 123 games. A back spasms case put him on the 10-day IL on Apr 22, and by his May 2 activation he had missed 10 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 205, he finished 442nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 237 spots below, and 20th of 103 catchers. His .275 wOBA ran 42 points below his .317 xwOBA over 467 PA, and his best month was Jul at .292 over 65 AB against just .113 over 71 AB in Sep. The TDK LABS card had him back and active in early May, an everyday catcher on load management with a recent homer by early Jul, and by late Sep still an elite catcher in a slump with his surface numbers trailing his contact quality.
