He was placed on the 15-day IL Jun 13 with a left peroneal strain, took a rehab assignment Jun 23, and was activated Jun 28, then placed back on the 15-day IL Jul 21 with right flexor inflammation, taking another rehab assignment Sep 6 before being activated Sep 27, missing 83 regular-season days in 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 207, he finished 994th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 787 spots below, and 151st of 236 starting pitchers. His best month was Jun at a 2.50 ERA in 18.0 IP, his worst May at a 6.26 ERA in 27.1 IP. The TDK LABS card had already turned on him in early May, and by late Aug it had him trending toward activation after a successful bullpen session.
