Jacob Young was a light-power, high-contact center fielder who did his damage on the bases: he hit .252/.318/.390 with a 16.6 K% and a 7.0 BB% over 471 PA for WSN, adding 10 HR and 18 SB across 140 games. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1202, he finished 195th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 143rd of 660 hitters and 17th of 70 center fielders, 1007 spots above his ADP rank. He hit .286 over 77 AB in Aug and just .186 over 70 AB in Jun. The TDK LABS card moved with him: in early May it had him as an everyday center fielder whose speed outran a weak contact profile, by mid Jul it had him benched during a slump, by late Jul it was pointing to a stretch of strong contact and patience including a multi-walk game, and by late Sep it was calling him a steady source of contact and speed production.
