2026 review
Jake Cronenworth was a durable but light-hitting second baseman for SDP this year, putting up a .225/.308/.321 line with a 22.8 K% and a 9.2 BB% over 425 PA, adding 7 HR, 46 R, 41 RBI and 9 SB across 109 games. He was placed on the 7-day IL May 5 with concussion symptoms, took a rehab assignment Jun 25 and was activated Jun 29, missing 55 regular-season days in 1 stint. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 413, he finished 436th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 23 spots below, and 28th of 75 second basemen. He hit .144 over 97 AB before the IL stint and .254 over 280 AB after he came back, and his best month was Jul at .294 over 85 AB against .141 over 71 AB in Apr, his worst. His .287 wOBA ran 12 points above his .275 xwOBA over 425 PA. In early May the TDK LABS card had him sidelined on the concussion IL with an open-ended timeline and a slash line that had cratered, but by late Aug it had him as a steady second baseman trending up, and by late Sep it had his contact climbing with a strong OPS and his power output on the rise.
