2026 review

Jalen Beeks pitched briefly before his year ended with an injury: he posted a 3.81 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP in 26.0 IP over 29 games, with an 18.6 K% and a 7.1 BB% over 113 BF, picking up 2 W, 1 L and 6 HLD. He signed as a free agent with TEX on Mar 13, was placed on the 10-day IL Jun 11, retroactive to Jun 10, with low back spasms, and was transferred to the 60-day IL Jul 10, missing 109 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 498, he finished 623rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 351st of 811 pitchers, and 259th of 575 relievers. His 3.81 ERA ran 1.99 below his 5.80 xERA over 113 BF. By early May the TDK LABS card had him in middle-relief mop-up work with no leverage signal tied to a Wells homer allowed; by early Jul it had him out for the year after arm surgery, and by mid-Aug it had him on the 60-day IL with no timeline given.
