2026 review
Jared Triolo was a light-power infielder who hit .238 and slugged .302 in 324 AB, with a .307 OBP, a 19.9 K% and a 7.7 BB% over 362 PA, across 125 games and 90 starts, adding 12 2B, 3 HR and 13 SB. A right knee patellar tendon injury put him on the 10-day IL Apr 5, retroactive to Apr 4, with rehab assignments Apr 24 and Apr 28 before he was activated May 2, missing 28 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 412, taken in 464 of 674 drafts, he finished 628th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 216 spots below his ADP rank, 273rd of 660 hitters and 33rd of 61 shortstops. His 2.3 Barrel% over 257 BBE was the 17th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. He started 46 of 53 games in Mar-Jun and 44 of 72 games in Jul-Sep. The TDK LABS card tracked the drift: in early May, fresh off the IL, it kept expectations modest amid a crowded infield mix; by late Aug it had him as a utility infielder earning more platoon reps; by late Sep it had him as a left-handed platoon bat working through a cold stretch, with an edge against lefties but limited power capping the ceiling.
