2026 review

Jarren Duran was a high-strikeout, high-speed left fielder whose results lagged his tools all year: he hit .207/.266/.361 with a 27.1 K% and a 6.7 BB% over 608 PA for BOS, with 20 HR, 21 SB and 165 SO across 151 games. Drafted at ADP rank 72, he finished 154th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 82 spots below, and 16th of 93 left fielders. His .274 wOBA ran 27 points below his .301 xwOBA over 608 PA, and his best month was May at .261 over 115 AB against just .144 over 97 AB in Jun. The TDK LABS card flagged the gap early, noting in early May a burst of home runs sitting alongside a low batting average, then by late Jul pointing to underlying batted-ball quality and speed as reasons for value against right-handers even as results disappointed, before turning by mid Sep to a rough stretch and a firmer platoon pattern, and by late Sep to the steal count carrying value through a down hitting season.
