2026 review

Jasson Domínguez spent the year in and out of the lineup, a bat that never quite matched its contact quality: he hit .225/.267/.368 with a 21.6 K% and a 4.5 BB% over 222 PA for NYY, with 6 HR, 22 R, 14 RBI and 8 SB across 57 games. He was optioned Mar 20, recalled Apr 27, then placed on the 10-day IL May 8 with a left shoulder AC joint sprain, took a rehab assignment Jun 5 and was activated Jun 13 after missing 36 regular-season days; he was optioned again Aug 4, recalled Sep 5, and optioned once more Sep 11. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 256, he finished 1010th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 754 spots below, and 41st of 79 right fielders. His .279 wOBA ran 10 points below his .289 xwOBA over 222 PA. The TDK LABS card traced a shifting role: in early May it read his roster fit as unclear beyond the immediate need, by early Jul it had him settled into an active roster spot, in early Sep it had him filling in for an injured teammate, and days later it flagged that another player's return from the injured list was pushing him toward reduced playing time.
