Jeff McNeil was a contact-first second baseman who rarely struck out but also rarely hit the ball hard: he went .264/.313/.368 with an 11.3 K% and a 6.0 BB% over 520 PA for ATH, adding 23 2B, 9 HR and 8 SB in 144 games. His 1.6 Barrel% over 425 BBE was the 6th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, while his 11.3 K% over 520 PA was the 13th lowest of the same 267. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 343, he finished 224th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 119 spots above, and 19th of 75 second basemen. His best month was Aug at .322 over 90 AB against .182 over 66 AB in Jun. The TDK LABS card opened early May with him locked into a hot stretch at the plate, then by late Sep it had him in a bench role with a platoon lean, a cold bat that it said still held up underneath.
