Jeffrey SpringsATH · SP
2026 review
Jeffrey Springs was a rotation arm whose results ran well behind his contact quality all year, posting a 6.18 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 142.2 IP for ATH with a 17.8 K% and a 9.0 BB% over 630 BF across 29 starts. A right hip discomfort sent him to the 15-day IL Aug 4, retroactive to Aug 1, and after a rehab assignment Aug 14 he was activated Aug 19, missing 18 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 430, he finished 1468th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 1038 spots below, and 232nd of 236 starting pitchers. His 6.18 ERA ran 1.23 above his 4.95 xERA over 630 BF, and the ERA barely moved around the IL stint, 6.17 in 108.0 IP before it and 6.23 in 34.2 IP after. His best month was Apr at a 4.05 ERA in 33.1 IP against a 10.00 ERA in 27.0 IP in Jun. The TDK LABS card followed the same shape, flagging his fastball after a hip exit in early May, then clearing him with no IL move later that month, and by late Sep still calling him an active rotation starter with results running against his contact readings.
