Jefry YanNYM · RP

2026 review

Jefry Yan worked exclusively out of the Mets' bullpen after his contract was selected on Jul 2, posting a 4.87 ERA and 1.72 WHIP in 20.1 IP across 18 games, with a 27.1 K% and 15.6 BB% over 96 BF, striking out 26 and walking 15 while allowing 3 HR. He shuttled between NYM and the minors all season, optioned right after his selection on Jul 2, recalled Aug 4, optioned Sep 6, recalled Sep 16, optioned Sep 26 and recalled again Sep 27, with his first game Aug 5 and last Sep 25; he threw 10 games for 10.0 IP in Aug and 8 games for 10.1 IP in Sep. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 783rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 487th of 811 pitchers, and 369th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card treated him as a fresh rookie lefty debuting in middle relief in early Aug, still working with limited reps by mid-Aug, and by late Sep it described him as a rookie left-hander with electric stuff but extreme control volatility.
