Jeremy PeñaHOU · SS
2026 review
Jeremy Peña was a power bat at shortstop who didn't walk much, his 5.0 BB% over 483 PA was the 18th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. He hit .277/.325/.477 with a 24.0 K% over 483 PA for HOU, adding 22 HR and 12 SB across 112 games. IL stints ate into the season, a grade one hamstring strain that cost him from Apr 12 to May 18 and a left calf strain from Jun 30 to Jul 10, missing 46 regular-season days in 2 stints between rehab assignments in May and Jul. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 97, he finished 70th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 27 spots above, and 8th of 61 shortstops. His .347 wOBA ran 21 points above his .326 xwOBA over 483 PA. He hit .381 over 63 AB in Jul, his best month, and just .204 over 103 AB in Aug, his worst, and the TDK LABS card tracked the swing back: by early Sep it flagged him mired in a cold stretch despite an everyday role, and by late Sep it had him heating up down the stretch with the surge reading as legitimate.
