2026 review

Jesus Rodríguez was a rookie catcher who hit .235/.316/.412 with an 8.6 BB% and a 13.8 K% over 58 PA for SFG, adding 2 HR and 8 RBI across 22 games before his season ended on the injured list. He was optioned Mar 18, recalled May 4, optioned Jun 1, recalled Jul 8, then placed on the 10-day IL Aug 1 for right elbow neuritis, taking rehab assignments Aug 23 and Sep 8 but never getting activated, missing 57 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1164, he finished 1235th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 64th of 103 catchers. His usage came in bursts, 43 PA over 14 games in May and 15 PA over 8 games in Jul, and the TDK LABS card followed his path from a May debut that forced the organization's hand behind an underperforming incumbent, to elbow inflammation in mid Aug, to a rehab setback in late Aug with the timeline stalled pending a specialist, to sitting on the 60-day IL by late Sep.
