2026 review

Jesús Sánchez was a modest-contact corner outfielder who moved teams late: he hit .254/.311/.401 with a 23.8 K% and a 5.7 BB% over 315 PA between TOR and ARI, with 8 HR and 35 RBI in 105 games. A right ankle sprain put him on the 10-day IL Jun 27, he took a rehab assignment before activating Jul 31, missing 34 regular-season days, and after that stint he hit just .188 in 69 AB against .274 in 215 AB before it. TOR designated him for assignment Sep 11, ARI claimed him off waivers Sep 14, and ARI designated him for assignment again Sep 26. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 325, he finished 743rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 418 spots below, and 39th of 93 left fielders. His .311 wOBA ran 10 points below his .321 xwOBA over 315 PA, and his best month was May at .329 in 76 AB against .218 in 78 AB in Apr. The TDK LABS card had little to say through the spring beyond bench hygiene against lefties, noted the ankle injury and an early, unhurried rehab in late Jul, and by late Sep was describing a rough finish with the claim, with little to show for it at the plate.
