2026 review
Jim Jarvis was a utility shortstop who got regular big-league innings without much to show for them: he hit .207/.267/.297 in 38 games for ATL, with 1 HR, 10 R and 11 RBI, an 18.5 K% and a 6.5 BB% over 124 PA. ATL selected his contract May 6, optioned him May 12, recalled him Jul 2, then optioned him again Aug 24. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 1261st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 488th of 660 hitters and 51st of 61 shortstops. His .254 wOBA ran 14 points below his .268 xwOBA over 124 PA. The TDK LABS card followed his up-and-down role: by May 13 it had him optioned after a brief stretch, by May 19 it noted his emergency middle-infield stint had closed, by Aug 17 it read him as a placeholder shortstop with modest underlying value, and by Aug 24 it had him riding the bench after an ugly August.
