2026 review
JJ Bleday was a swing-and-miss outfielder who still worked the count and found power, but the average never came around for CIN: 101 H, 17 2B, 24 HR, 61 R and 58 RBI over 545 PA. He hit .217/.324/.416 in 466 AB, with a 22.2 K% and a 13.2 BB% over 545 PA, and that walk rate was the 20th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. He was optioned Mar 21 and recalled Apr 25 before his first game landed Apr 26. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1115, he finished 206th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 909 spots above, and 20th of 93 left fielders. His .326 wOBA ran 14 points below his .340 xwOBA over 545 PA. He hit .301 over 103 AB in May, his best month, then fell to .161 over 93 AB in Jun. The TDK LABS card opened in early May praising elite contact off the recall, by late Jul it was still calling the power and discipline elite, by early Sep it noted contact had dipped in recent weeks, and by late Sep it had the power signs returning with contact showing alignment again.
