Joc Pederson was a power bat whose finish outran his draft price by a wide margin: across 136 games for TEX he hit .235/.329/.487 in 374 AB with 26 HR, 56 R and 53 RBI, posting a 23.6 K% and an 11.3 BB% over 432 PA. His season ended early when he was placed on the 10-day IL Sep 22, retroactive to Sep 19, with a left wrist fracture, and he had missed 8 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1141, he finished 200th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 941 spots above his ADP rank, 146th of 660 hitters and 11th of 46 designated hitters. His 50.7 HardHit% over 276 BBE was the 17th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, and his best month was Apr at .254 over 63 AB against just .138 over 65 AB in his worst month, Aug. The TDK LABS card had him sitting out in early May against a right-hander, the second time that season he had been held out that way, then by late Sep was tracking a left hand fracture that had him day-to-day before it turned into that 10-day IL stint.
