Joe RossARI · TEX · RP

2026 review

Joe Ross scuffled through a short, shuffled season: a 9.26 ERA and 1.89 WHIP in 11.2 IP over 8 games, with a 12.3 K% and a 10.5 BB% over 57 BF, split between ARI and TEX. He signed a minor league deal with ARI on Feb 15, had his contract selected Mar 25, then was designated for assignment Apr 3 and outrighted Apr 5 before re-signing Apr 7; he later signed with TEX on May 22, had that contract selected Jun 13, and was designated for assignment again Jun 29, outrighted Jul 1 and re-signed Jul 3. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 996th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 649th of 811 pitchers, and 498th of 575 RP. The TDK LABS card followed the shuffle: by mid-Jun it had him back as rotation depth with the role undefined, and by late Jun it had him as a middle reliever in a fluid pen with no clear path to holds or saves.
