2026 review

Joey Bart was a light-hitting, low-walk catcher bounced across organizations: he hit .214/.305/.357 with a 27.3 K% and a 5.5 BB% over 128 PA in 44 games, with 4 HR and 13 RBI. He took a rehab assignment Jun 10 and Jun 12, was traded from PIT to ATL Jun 18, activated from the 10-day IL Jun 19, then traded from ATL to CHW Aug 3 before landing on the 10-day IL Aug 7 with a fifth metacarpal fracture in his left hand, missing 51 regular-season days. Undrafted at NFBC ADP rank 933, he finished 1183rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 250 spots below, and 54th of 103 catchers. The TDK LABS card in early May flagged him as a part-time backup with a poor contact-skill floor, then by late Aug and again in early Sep it described the hand fracture as an extended absence with no clear return timeline and unclear role once back.
