2026 review

Joey Loperfido split this season between HOU and the injured list, hitting .214/.311/.330 with a 26.4 K% and an 11.6 BB% over 121 PA in 40 games, adding 7 2B, 1 3B and 1 HR. Traded to HOU on Feb 13, he went on the 10-day IL Apr 19 (retroactive to Apr 18) with a right quad strain, took a rehab assignment on May 24 and again on May 27, and missed 47 regular-season days before he was activated Jun 4 — the same day he was optioned. From there he shuttled between the majors and the minors on Jun 9, Jul 4, Sep 15 and Sep 17. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1163, he finished 1215th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 63rd of 93 left fielders. The TDK LABS card tracked the rehab closely: by early May it had him still weeks from returning as he eased into running, and by late May a fouled ball off the foot had paused things again; by mid Sep, back in the majors, it described a thin contact line.
