2026 review

Joey Wiemer was a fringe outfielder who hit whenever he got the chance but never got a long look: claimed off waivers by WSN on Jan 5, he hit .286/.398/.514 in 32 games for WSN, with 3 HR, 16 R and a 34.9 K% and a 14.5 BB% over 83 PA. He was optioned May 19, released Aug 5, and signed a minor league contract with CHW on Aug 8. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 811, he finished 1120th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 393rd of 660 hitters and 48th of 79 right fielders. The TDK LABS card tracked the swings in his role: by May 8 it had the bat producing, by May 10 it credited his contact for a hot start, by May 15 it flagged his path to at-bats as a narrow matchup role, and by Aug 6 it noted his release after a brief stint with the club.
