2026 review
Jorge Polanco's season was defined by 2 long injured list stints that swallowed nearly all of it: across 37 games he hit .148/.201/.230 over 145 PA (135 AB), with 2 HR and 6 RBI. He walked at a 6.2 BB% and struck out at a 24.8 K% over 145 PA. A right wrist contusion put him on the 10-day IL Apr 18 retroactive to Apr 15, and after rehab assignments May 27, Jun 2 and Jun 27 he was activated from the 60-day IL Jul 7, missing 83 regular-season days in that stint; a left ankle bursitis then sent him back to the 10-day IL Aug 19 and he was transferred to the 60-day IL Aug 28, missing 39 more regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 222, he finished 1439th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 1217 spots below, and 46th of 46 DH. His .196 wOBA ran 38 points below his .234 xwOBA over 145 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked the slide: in early May it had him week-to-week with the wrist and ankle issues both unresolved, by late Jul it described him still struggling since his IL return with minimal contact in a crowded DH mix, and by late Sep it had him on the 60-day IL after ankle surgery ended his season.
