2026 review
Jorge Soler was a swing-and-miss power bat whose season came apart: he hit .203/.291/.373 with a 32.7 K% and a 9.7 BB% over 361 PA for LAA, with 12 HR and 49 RBI across 86 games. His 32.7 K% over 361 PA was the 6th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. He was suspended Apr 15, then placed on the 10-day IL Jun 6 retroactive to Jun 4 for a left oblique strain, activated Jun 22 after missing 18 regular-season days, and designated for assignment Aug 4 before being released Aug 6. He hit .220 over 214 AB before that IL stint and just .167 over 102 AB after activation. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 376, he finished 607th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 231 spots below, and 18th of 46 DH. His best month was Apr at .253 over 79 AB against .158 over 76 AB in Jul. The TDK LABS card called him an elite contact bat in early May, flagged his IL return as an uncertain sign by late Jun, and by early Aug still saw power in him even as his at-bats went cold and his playing time got squeezed as Trout came back.
