Opposing left-handed batters hit .241/.268/.285 over 144 PA against him, right-handed batters .326/.424/.527 over 152 PA, and his best month was May at a 1.64 ERA in 11.0 IP against a 7.15 ERA in 11.1 IP in Aug. The TDK LABS card had him as a secondary save option behind SEA's anchor in early May, then by mid-Jun it noted he was getting ninth-inning chances in a fluid situation while pointing out the strikeout numbers still weren't standing out, and by late Sep it had him settled in as a setup arm with marginal strikeouts.
