2026 review
José Ramírez was a contact-oriented switch-hitter whose power did not show up: .235/.320/.368 and a 12.7 K% over 544 PA, with 12 HR and 37 SB, that strikeout rate the 19th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. A left hamate fracture put him on the 10-day IL Jun 14, and he was activated Jul 22 after missing 38 regular-season days. He hit .239 over 268 AB before the stint and .229 over 205 AB after, and lefties gave him more trouble to handle than righties did him, .287/.366/.469 over 164 PA against left-handers and .212/.301/.324 over 380 PA against right-handers. His .301 wOBA ran 24 points below his .325 xwOBA over 544 PA. The TDK LABS card had him fully workable in early May with a switch-hitter's matchups lined up, then just back from surgery in late Jul it called him a perennial star bat whose power would lag early, and by early Aug had him day-to-day with ongoing recovery before resting him for the finale in late Sep. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 5, he finished 106th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 101 spots below, and 11th of 67 third basemen.
