José Tena was a bench bat for WSN who got everyday-ish playing time but couldn't turn it into results. He played 114 games with 66 starts, going 57-for-257 with a .222 AVG, a .302 OBP and a .370 SLG in 257 AB, along with 13 2B, 2 3B, 7 HR, 36 R, 25 RBI, 6 SB and 2 CS, and a 31.2 K% and a 9.4 BB% over 288 PA. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 854, he finished 781st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 20th of 46 DH. The TDK LABS card had little to say on him in early May, then by late Jun picked him up as a lefty-facing platoon piece getting consecutive starts, by mid-Aug had him as a platoon outfielder flashing emerging power against right-handers, and by late Sep viewed him as a bench option whose swing-and-miss issues and uneven playing time had kept him a reserve rather than a regular.
