Josh WalkerBAL · RP

2026 review

Josh Walker was a low-hard-contact reliever who found a role late for BAL: a 2.08 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 30.1 IP over 31 games, with a 23.0 K% and a 9.5 BB% over 126 BF, plus 1 save, 4 holds and 1 blown save. BAL outrighted him Jan 7, selected his contract May 11, then shuttled him between the majors and the minors on May 17, Jun 29, Jul 1, Jul 22, Jul 23 and Jul 24. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 413th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 181st of 811 pitchers, and 118th of 575 relievers. His 21.4 Hard% over 84 BBE was the 5th lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF, and his 2.08 ERA ran 0.62 below his 2.70 xERA over 126 BF. The TDK LABS card had him optioned after a rough stretch in early Jun, and by late Sep it was describing him as a bullpen swing arm who had grabbed a save amid closer instability rather than any change in role.
