Julian GarcíaCIN · RP
2026 review
Julian García came up as a power arm stuck in low-leverage work, then found save chances his role never really promised. His contract was selected Jun 22, and across 33 games with 0 GS he posted a 3.13 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 46.0 IP, with a 22.9 K% and a 10.6 BB% over 179 BF, picking up 2 SV and 3 HLD. He was placed on the 15-day IL Sep 18, retroactive to Sep 17, with right elbow loose bodies, missing 10 regular-season days. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 362nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 143rd of 811 pitchers, and 86th of 575 RP. The TDK LABS card tracked the shift in how he was used: in late Jun it had him as a rookie callup with strikeout stuff stuck in a low-leverage role, by late Jul it noted his first career save while still calling the job long relief in a fluid pen, and by early Aug it flagged that save as coming from a middle-relief role with middle-caliber fundamentals behind the ERA. By late Sep it had him sidelined with the loose bodies in his elbow.
