Jung Hoo Lee was a contact-first outfielder who put the ball in play and ran, but he did not drive it much: he hit .276/.320/.404 over 539 AB with 31 2B, 4 3B, 10 HR, 12 SB and 29 BB against 57 SO over 579 PA for SFG, across 143 games and 134 starts. A mid-back strain sent him to the 10-day IL May 22, retroactive to May 19, and he was activated May 29; a groin contusion then put him back on the 10-day IL Sep 21 with no activation on record through Sep 27, 16 regular-season days missed across the 2 stints. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 279, he finished 138th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 141 spots above, and 13th of 79 right fielders. His 9.8 K% over 579 PA was the 7th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. His 2.3 Barrel% over 486 BBE was the 14th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, and his 5.0 BB% over 579 PA was the 19th lowest of the same pool. Against right-handed pitchers he hit .291/.338/.434 over 402 PA, against left-handed pitchers .243/.275/.337 over 178 PA. He hit .340 over 97 AB in Jun and just .188 over 64 AB in Sep. The TDK LABS card had him on a hot streak in early May, found him struggling at the plate in early Sep after returning from an injury even as the underlying numbers held up, and by late Sep had him sidelined with a groin injury that ended his year.
