Kazuma Okamoto was a power-driven third baseman who struck out often and cashed in when he connected: he hit .232 with a .452 SLG in 568 AB, a .310 OBP, a 28.8 K% and a 9.3 BB% all over 636 PA, driving in 92 RBI on 33 HR across 156 games. TOR signed him as a free agent on Jan 4. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 244, he finished 62nd of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 182 spots above his ADP rank, and 5th of 67 third basemen. His best month was Jun at .286 in 91 AB, a big jump from his worst, Apr, at .200 in 90 AB. The TDK LABS card followed that swing: by early May it had him climbing out of a slow start and multi-hitting with better contact, by late Jun it had him riding a power streak, by mid-Aug it had him pressing through a shallow-format slump, and by late Sep it had him putting together strong power with consistent recent contact.
