2026 review

Ke'Bryan Hayes was a light-hitting third baseman with a season interrupted by injured list stints: he hit .141/.194/.225 with a 19.8 K% and a 5.4 BB% over 242 PA for CIN, driving in 9 RBI and scoring 19 R over 94 games and 73 starts. He was placed on the 10-day IL May 22 (retroactive to May 21) with a lumbar bulging disc, took a rehab assignment Jul 3 and Jul 7, and was activated Jul 10; he missed 61 regular-season days in 2 stints after also going on the 10-day IL Aug 28 (retroactive to Aug 27) with a left groin strain and returning Sep 7. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 889, he finished 1371st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 482 spots below, and 59th of 67 third basemen. His .191 wOBA ran 96 points below his .287 xwOBA over 242 PA. The bat did not change much around the longer stint, .142 over 120 AB before it and .140 over 107 AB after he came back. By May 8 the TDK LABS card had him flagged for top-of-the-board surface skills, pointing to career lows in strikeouts and in hard contact at that point in the year.
