Konnor GriffinPIT · SS
2026 review
Konnor Griffin was a rookie shortstop whose season was interrupted by injury: over 80 games and 78 starts he hit .272/.324/.404 with a 24.2 K% and a 5.9 BB% over 339 PA (312 AB), adding 15 2B, 4 3B, 6 HR and 23 SB. PIT selected his contract Apr 3, and a right elbow strain put him on the 10-day IL May 31; after a rehab assignment he was activated Jun 26, only for a left ring finger sagittal back injury to send him back Jul 7, retroactive to Jul 6, transferred to the 60-day IL Jul 11. He missed 86 regular-season days across the stints, took rehab assignments in Aug and Sep, and was activated from the 60-day IL Sep 4. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 206, he finished 263rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 57 spots below, and 22nd of 61 shortstops. He hit .276 over 225 AB before the finger stint and .264 over 87 AB after he came back. The TDK LABS card tracked the arc: in early May it flagged a power surge, by early Sep it had him on the injured list with the finger injury and, after reinstatement, pointed to a thin big-league track record, and by late Sep it described a rookie riding a hot stretch.
